In 2007 Jim established Zilker Films, LLC – self-reliant, turnkey video production services focusing on high quality and cost-effective web solutions. As an independent boutique, it allows for agility and flexibility to scale resources and crew accordingly to fit each project and budget appropriately.

Jim's able to lead every step of the video production process, overseeing projects entirely from beginning to end. Whether producing, directing, operating a camera, or sitting at the editing suite with today's complex soup of codecs and HD formats, Jim is at home in any given situation.

In addition to technical expertise and commercial video production experience, Jim is also an accomplished filmmaker. His award-winning narrative short films have screened from LA to NY to Iran and in the April 2005 issue of Vanity Fair, Jim was listed in an article entitled "The Future of Film".

Jim works and travels wherever the job takes him. His clients include Fortune 500 corporations, advertising agencies, and other friendly production and post facilities.

Jim has an MA in Art and 20 years experience as a painter, musician, photographer, 3D animator, and independent filmmaker. Born and raised in Louisiana, Jim has been a Texas resident since 1990 and an Austin resident since 1999.
